THESE SESSIONS ARE LIMITED TO ASSISTANT PROFESSORS ONLY.
The goal of this writing workshop is to provide examples, tips, and guidance for pre-tenured faculty on writing a strong project summary for their NSF CAREER proposals. This workshop will:
- Provide an overview of the CAREER Project Summary and what it needs to accomplish
- Demonstrate good, better, and best examples of Project Summaries
- Discuss what is important to highlight in the Intellectual Merit and Broader Impacts Sections
- Give you time to work on your project summaries in the workshop and get direct feedback from your peers and research development staff.
Bring a (very) rough draft of your project summary with you so that you can work on it during the session.
Please read the 2021 NSF CAREER guidelines, available here, prior to the session.
We look forward to seeing you!
