The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) supports the university’s commitment to work-life balance and will be implementing the recommendations from President Pollack’s recent message for the Summer of 2022 Employee Appreciation program. The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Development, including the Pre-award Research Operations (PRO) team, will be closing at noon on Fridays this Summer, from June 24 through July 29, 2022.
If you are working toward any proposal deadlines that fall on one of these Fridays, it is critical that you plan ahead. Grant and Contract Officers must be informed in advance of any plans to submit proposals due on these days with the goal of finalizing and submitting them before noon. Please coordinate in advance with your Grant and Contract Officer so that deadlines are not missed inadvertently.
If you are working with a PRO Team member on proposal development, please ensure submission by noon for proposals with deadlines falling on these Fridays. If a delay is anticipated, please communicate to PRO by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday of the deadline week so that effective and continuous support can be arranged.
