eCOI Help: Entity List Page

You have indicated that you are looking for help with the entity list page. That page is used to add new entities, edit the names of existing entities, or deactivate entities with which you no longer have a financial relationship. You may also reactivate inactive entities from this page.

Below are some tips on how to use the entity list page. If you need more information, please see our comprehensive eCOI help page or contact the COI office at coi@cornell.edu.

Previous actions that you’ve taken in eCOI may affect what you see on this page. Although it will be similar, what you see in eCOI may not look exactly like what is shown below.

How do I add a new entity?

  2. Click the “add a new external entity” button.

How do I edit the name of an entity?

  2. Find the entity you are looking for and click on either the “edit” link associated with it under the “actions” column.Image of the “edit” link associated with the entity circled.

How do I deactivate an entity that I no longer have a relationship with?

  3. On the screen that pops up, click “deactivate.”

How do I reactivate an entity?

  2. Toward the bottom of the page, there is a link that says, “Click here to see a list of your inactive entities, or to reactivate or deactivate entities.” Click this link.Image with the "click here" link circled.
  3. A screen will pop up showing your active and inactive entities. In the “inactive external entities” section, find the entity you would like to activate, and click the “activate now” checkbox associated with it. Click save.Image with "Inactive External Entities" section circled
