All research at Cornell that involves human participants must be either exempted from review or approved by the Institutional Review Board for Human Participants (IRB). The Cornell IRB office operates a Human Research Protection Program to protect the welfare of individuals who participate in research at the University.
For more information about IRB policies, federal regulations, training, and protocol submission procedures, visit Research with Human Participants.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, IRB Office Hours will be held via phone and email--not in person--for the foreseeable future.
