Carmel Lee, Director of Research Development, offers one-hour, interactive, hands-on writing workshops from 11am-12pm every Friday. You can attend some or all of the sessions; it’s up to you. The focus is on proposal writing, but many of the skills taught will apply to any form of writing.
Each week will begin with a brief tutorial on some aspect of writing, followed by a practical editing demonstration or exercise. Carmel will walk you through her editing process, explaining the hows and whys of grammar, syntax, messaging, and tone, to improve your writing. You will have the opportunity to send in examples of your writing ahead of each workshop to be selected to receive feedback live. There will also be time for you to ask specific writing questions. So whether you want to polish your skills, write more persuasively, or enhance your grammar skills in written English, these workshops will have something to help every writer.
