This workshop series is designed to help faculty engage with funding opportunities from diverse sources including foundations, industry, and more. Each session features faculty members who have successfully secured such funding and provides actionable strategies from Cornell experts.

September 2: Seed-to-Grant Funding Strategies for Success

Learn about seed funding opportunities that can help Cornell faculty develop collaborative, interdisciplinary projects that will attract external funding.


October 1: From Lab or Field to Industry – Building Meaningful Connections

Learn how your colleagues have successfully partnered with industry, navigated funding opportunities, and worked with Cornell’s expert support staff to amplify the real-world impact of their research.


November 13: Collaborative Pathways for AI Funding

Explore how collaborative partnerships drive AI research innovation and funding success. Engage with Cornell faculty and learn about institutional resources including the Cornell AI Initiative.


December 1: Research Corporation for Science Advancement: Supporting Early Career Faculty

Learn about how RCSA catalyzes science through community (Scialogs) and develops early academic careers (Cottrell Scholars & RCSA Fellows).


May 15: Foundation Funding Strategies for Success

This session is aimed at helping Cornell faculty with securing foundation support for research. The panel will discuss pathways for foundation funding and offer strategies for successful awards. The panelists include faculty members with a track record of foundation funding and an institutional expert.
